Accessibility

A stock count is done standing up, often one-handed, sometimes with gloves on and sometimes by someone who cannot read a 12-pixel label. Accessibility is part of the job, not a compliance afterthought.

What is checked, automatically

Every page and the signed-in app are scanned with axe-core against the WCAG 2.1 A and AA rules on each release: the home, pricing, download and comparison pages at 1440 px and 390 px, the sign-in form, and a real shop with items at both widths, including the settings surface.

Last run: 2026-10-21 — zero WCAG A/AA violations. The scan is committed asscripts/a11y-check.mjs, so the claim can be repeated by anyone.

What is checked by hand

  • Every control is reachable and operable with the keyboard alone; the focused control is always visible.
  • The quantity field, the count screen and the dialogs use real labels, not placeholders as labels.
  • Colour contrast is measured, not guessed: the body text and the muted text both clear AA on the surfaces they sit on, and the accent is never the only signal (the reorder warning also carries an icon and the number).
  • Layout holds at 390 px and at 200 % text zoom without sideways scrolling.

Known gaps

  • Screen readers on a physical device (TalkBack on Android, VoiceOver on iOS) have not been run end to end. The Linux build is what the automated drives use; the phone run is scheduled with the store build.
  • The barcode scanner depends on the camera and the system scanner; its non-visual path is the manual search, which is always present.
  • No third-party accessibility audit has been commissioned. This page states what is tested, not that the product is certified.

Tell us where it fails

If something is hard to use with a keyboard, a screen reader, large text or a small screen, write to[email protected] with what you were trying to do. A concrete report is fixed before the next release.
