Service status
Two things have to work for the product: the marketing site and the hosted API behind the app. This page checks the API from your browser each time it loads. There is no history here yet — only the state right now.
What this check means
The page asks the hosted authentication service for its health endpoint. A response means the API is reachable from your network; a failure means it is not, which can be the service, your connection, or a blocked request. The check is deliberately simple: it is not a synthetic monitor and it does not run when nobody is looking.
What is not monitored
- Historical uptime. There is no uptime percentage to publish because there is no monitor recording it. A number invented for this page would be worse than no number.
- Background jobs. The scheduled report and keep-alive run on the hosted database; a failure there would not change this check.
- Email delivery. Transactional email is not fully connected to the hosted project yet, so a password reset may not arrive even while the API is healthy.
- Store billing. Store billing is not open; the app's entitlement service is separate and is not what this page checks.
If the API is down
- Do not clear the app or sign out. Queued movements and counts live on the phone until they sync; deleting the app deletes the only copy.
- Keep working offline. Scanning, counting, receiving and sales queue on the device.
- Check your own connection first. Try another network before assuming the service is at fault.
- Email [email protected] with the time, what you were doing, and whether the phone showed changes waiting to sync.
- When it returns, let the queue drain before retrying a count. A retry is safe — the count carries its id — but the badge reaching zero is the proof that everything arrived.
Known limits of the current hosting
The hosted project runs on a free tier with daily automated backups, so the recovery point can be up to 24 hours old, and there is no point-in-time recovery. A daily keep-alive prevents the free project from pausing after a week of inactivity. There is no uptime commitment while the project is on this tier; export anything you cannot afford to lose. The security and data page states the same limits.
Why this page exists
A status page that only says "all systems operational" is decoration. This one publishes the check it actually runs, names what it cannot see, and tells you what to do with a queue full of unsynced work. When a real uptime monitor exists, its history will replace the paragraph above.
