Questions people actually ask

Short answers, including the ones where the answer is "not yet". If yours is missing, write to [email protected] and it will be added here.

Does Mobile Inventory work without a signal?

The Android app records receipts, sales and counts on the phone and sends them when the connection returns; a retried send cannot record the same movement twice. The web trial is different and says so: it opens offline, but saving needs a connection.

Can I import the spreadsheet I use now?

Yes. Upload a CSV or Excel file, map its columns, and the preview shows every row before anything is written. Bad rows are listed instead of dropped, and importing the same file again updates existing items by SKU without duplicating their opening stock.

What happens when the 14-day trial ends?

The shop becomes read-only rather than disappearing: you can still read stock, the ledger and reports, and export everything. Nothing is charged automatically, and no card is taken on this site.

Can I pay for a plan today?

Not yet. The prices published on the pricing page are reference prices; billing runs through the app stores, and the store products have no price set, so no plan can be bought. Trying the product is free and the trial does not require a card.

Is there an iPhone app?

Not yet. The Android app comes first through Google Play; the iPhone waitlist on the download page is how we tell people when that changes. The web trial works in Safari on an iPhone in the meantime.

Can several people use one shop, with different permissions?

Yes. An owner invites staff by email and chooses a role. Owners and managers edit items, prices and settings; staff scan, receive, sell and count. Every change is written to an activity log with who made it.

How do stock counts handle items nobody counted?

A count is blind by default, so the person counting does not see the expected number. Lines that were not counted are carried as uncounted, never as zero; the review shows the variance per line, and a submitted count is listed under Past counts.

Does it support more than one location?

Yes. Each location keeps its own stock, movements name the location they happened at, and transfers move stock between them without inventing a sale.

Which barcodes and scanners work?

The phone camera reads common retail codes, and a Bluetooth or USB scanner in keyboard mode works without a driver. An unknown code opens the add-item form with the code filled in; a double read cannot count twice.

Where is my data kept, and can I get it out?

Shops live in a Supabase database in the EU (eu-central-1) with row-level security, and the movement ledger is append-only. You can export items, movements and reports as CSV, XLSX or JSON at any time, including after the trial ends. The security page states the hosting limits plainly, including the free tier's lack of point-in-time recovery.

Is there an API?

Yes. Owners and managers can create scoped API tokens for reading stock and movements or recording adjustments, with per-token hourly quotas and an idempotency key on writes. Webhooks deliver stock and count events with a signed payload, and an MCP server lets an AI assistant call the same tools.

How do I delete my account and data?

Delete it yourself while signed in from Settings, or use the account deletion page if you cannot sign in. Deleting an account removes the shops you solely own and their ledger; a shop you share stays for the other members.

The same facts live in the guides, the changelog and the security page; where they disagree, the page closest to the running product wins and the others are corrected.
